Here are the lyrics to the new single coming out July 28th called ‘New Perspective.’
I feel the salty waves come in
I feel them crash against my skin
And I smile as I respire because I know they’ll never win
There’s a haze above my TV
That changes everything I see
And maybe if I continue watching
I’ll lose the traits that worry me
Can we fast-forward to go down on me?
Stop there and let me correct it
I wanna live a life from a new perspective
You come along because I love your face
And I’ll admire your expensive taste
And who cares divine intervention
I wanna be praised from a new perspective
But leaving now would be a good idea
So catch me up on getting out of here
Taking everything for granted but we still respect the time
We move along with some new passion knowing everything is fine
And I would wait and watch the hours fall in a hundred separate lines
But I regain repose and wonder how I ended up inside
Can we fast-forward to go down on me?
Stop there and let me correct it
I wanna live a life from a new perspective
You come along because I love your face
and I’ll admire your expensive taste
And who cares divine intervention
I wanna be praised from a new perspective
But leaving now would be a good idea
So catch me up on getting out of here
More to the point, I need to show
How much I can come and go
Other plans fell through
And put a heavy load on you
I know there’s no more that need be said
When I’m inching through your bed
Take a look around instead and watch me go
Stop there and let me correct it
I wanna live a life from a new perspective
You come along because I love your face
and I’ll admire your expensive taste
And who cares divine intervention
I wanna be praised from a new perspective
But leaving now would be a good idea
So catch me up on getting out of here
It’s not fair, just let me perfect it
Don’t wanna live a life that was comprehensive
’cause seeing clear would be a bad idea
Now catch me up on getting out of here
So catch me up I’m getting out of here
Fueled By Ramen Reveals “Jennifer’s Body” Soundtrack
July 21, 2009
Fueled By Ramen has announced the forthcoming release of “Jennifer’s Body: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack,” the star-studded musical companion to the upcoming Fox Thriller film. The collection arrives in stores and online on August 25th, with pre-orders for the soundtrack beginning on July 28th at the Fueled By Ramen Webstore, located at store.fueledbyramen.com. The much-anticipated thriller — starring Megan Fox and written by Academy Award-winner Diablo Cody (”Juno”) — premieres in theatres across North America on September 18th.
“Jennifer’s Body: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack” gathers previously unreleased tracks from an array of top FBR artists, including Cobra Starship, Hayley Williams, and Panic! At The Disco, who contribute the first single, “New Perspective.” The track — exclusive to this release — will ship to Modern Rock radio outlets nationwide later this month.
“We’re really excited to introduce our new single,” enthuse the members of PATD. “We’re all huge fans of Diablo Cody and Megan Fox, so it’s great to be able to have ‘New Perspective’ be a part of their film.”

Brendon and I have been hard at work in the studio writing and doing demos of new songs for all of you. Here is a clip of a new demo we recorded this past week…it’s called ‘Oh Glory.’
We’re really excited about the new songs were working on and can’t wait to release more. In a few weeks we’ll set out on the Blink-182 tour which is still unbelievable to us. They’re the reason I started playing music, and I can’t wait to be a part of something so to close me. Check back soon for more updates and our new single ‘New Perspective.’
Sincerely,
Spencer of Panic! At The Disco
I think it sounds great, I can’t wait to hear more! I’m so excited for this album! As much as I loved Pretty.Odd., I think this sounds like P!ATD and I’m loving it. I will truly miss Ryan & Jon being apart of the band, those guys are amazing but I’m sure they will do great with whatever they do and I know I’ll listen to and follow them.
First Ryan Ross-less Panic At The Disco song out August 17
July 08, 2009
So yesterday was pretty nuts, right? First, Panic At The Disco guitarist/primary songwriter Ryan Ross and bassist Jon Walker quit the band. Then, hours later, Brendon Urie (vocals) and Spencer Smith (drums) responded to Ross and Walker’s departure, assuring fans that PATD will soldier on. Now, Alternative Press has exclusively learned that we’re just weeks away from finding out what the new Panic will sound like.
On August 25, Fueled By Ramen will issue the Jennifer’s Body movie soundtrack, which will include Panic’s first Ryan Ross-less song, “New Perspective.” According to the band’s publicist, neither Ross or Walker had any involvement in the track. The song is also scheduled to be serviced to radio on August 17, so now you know when to start calling your local request line. The Jennifer’s Body soundtrack will also feature new and unreleased material from All Time Low, Cobra Starship, Dashboard Confessional and others.
This is the official statement from panic’s myspce.
We just wanted to let you know, that the news of Ryan and Jon leaving the band is unfortunately true. It’s been an amazing journey being in a band with them, but sometimes individual tastes take friends in different directions and you can’t ignore it. They are some of the most talented guys we know, and we’re sure that whatever they do next will be great. That said, Panic At The Disco is alive and very very well. We are working on new songs that we are excited for you to hear. Our dates with Blink and Fall Out Boy start in a little less than a month, and we wouldn’t miss those for the world. We know everybody has a lot of questions at this point with everything being so out of the blue, most of those should be answered in the coming weeks. We appreciate every one of you, and hope you continue with us on this incredible ride.
Pay attention we have a surprise in store for you.
-Brendon and Spencer
hi I’m AJ I was hired on as a co-web to help out a while back it’s been a crazy few months but I’m dedicated to keeping up the site now. Sorry I havn’t been around and you havn’t seen me but I will be around now.
Ryan Ross and Jon Walker will be leaving Panic at the Disco to embark on a musical excursion of their own. Though the four of us have made music together in the past, we’ve creatively evolved in different directions which has compromised what each of us want to personally achieve. Over the years, we have remained close and honest with each other, which helped us to realize that our goals were different and that parting ways is truly what is best for each of us. We are all excited for the future, you should be too.
-Ryan & Jon Stay posted to the Panic site for updates on Ryan and Jon’s new project, as well as a message from Brendon and Spencer who will continue on as Panic At The Disco. All touring and album plans for Panic will continue as previously announced.
All Access Music Group is reporting “New Perspective”, the first single off Panic At The Disco’s new album, will be added to rotation at radio stations nationwide on August 18, 2009. The date is subject to change.
